In Drapers magazine this week, the Queen of shops herself Mary Portas exclusivley gives them an interview. Her new show - Mary Queen of Shops which will be aired tonight (31/05/07) at 9pm on BBC2 is a MUST SEE TV!!! Mary is an inspiration and very well recognised in the fashion industry. In her interview she is asked - 'Who is the best retailer on the high street and why? She replied:

"John Lewis is superb. Gap is also really good. In Zara the product mix is amazing, but the service is terrible. Topshops Oxford Circus store is a phenomenon, but no more than that. My favourite shop is Start on Rivington Street in Shoreditch, East London. Its brilliantly edited amd the service is like a dream."
