Julie Verhoeven for Mulberry Pop-Up Store
Brix and our press girl, Louisa, along with our pugs, Pixie and Gromit were especially invited to the Julie Verhoeven for Mulbery pop-up store on Saturday in Westbourne Grove. As most of you will know, Julie is an extremely talented illustrator, known for her madcap and quirky designs, regularly seen in the pages of publications Self Service and Dazed and Confused. Here's Louisa's take on the whole event:
"The Mulberry teaparty was over flowing with fashionistas, with both Stuart Vevers (head designer of Mulberry) and Julie Verhoeven on hand to discuss their collaboration. Julie's designs were embossed onto cushions dotted around the room, and we were lucky enough to view a capsule range of smock dresses and bags featuring the artist's lovely illustrations. With guests spilling over into the streets of Notting Hill with glasses of champagne, we liked the highly circumspect sculptures featuring piles of talcum powder and Mulberry logo scoops. A nod to Studio 54, perhaps?"
Mulberry bags are available online and instore.
