Press Manager (Maternity Leave Cover) 
 
We are currently seeking a full-time intern to work and manage the press and PR for a minimum of 6 months. Responsibilities will include the management of press samples, daily monitoring of press, compilation of press reports, event organisation and general office administration. The press office is a fast-paced, lively environment and this is an ideal opportunity for an individual who is keen to work in a high-fashion environment. Whilst previous experience in running a department is not expected, we would require a sound understanding of PR. The ideal candidate should have a confident office manner, a solid knowledge of different brands and above all, is passionate about all things fashion and beauty related.

We are seeking to recruit an E-Commerce Manager for maternity cover (25th August for a minimum period of 6 months).  We are looking for an individual who is confident, creative and passionate about all things internet-related.
 
Overall Job Purpose
 
To define, develop & deliver the sales, marketing, development of the online platform and its internal infrastructure to establish Start as a world leader in the online designer fashion boutique market.  
You will work with the existing staff in setting clear requirements and delivering marketing and business development solutions that drive traffic to achieve increased sales creating an experience that exceeds customer expectations, develops repeat custom & drives long-term profit through successful 3rd party relationships.

Accounts Assistant
 
Start are looking for a young vibrant accounts assistant. Duties include batching invoices, cheque runs, cash flows, sales ledger, purchase ledger, time sheets, weekly spreadsheets, weekly sales and target reports, bank reconciliations, petty cash, returns, weekly reconciliation of  statements, weekly reconciliation of sage, Intrastats etc…
The candidate must have full Microsoft excel and word skills.
An interest in fashion is a bonus, you would be able to expand with the job role.
Knowledge of sage accounts would be good but not necessary

Production Intern
 
We're seeking a student who would like to gain web production  experience within a small but  successful commercial environment. This opportunity would benefit a web, graphic design or communications student with an interest in fashion who loves the web. A good understanding of  Photoshop combined with strong writing skills are  required for this position -  any other skills a bonus!

Online Marketing Intern
 
We're looking for a student who would like to gain valuable hands-on experience within a small but  successful commercial environment. This opportunity would benefit an online/digital marketing student with a strong interest in fashion.  The intern would be responsible for different marketing projects in order to improve sales, including SEO, newsletter and SMS targeting, analysing/creating reports from google analytics, dealing with our affiliates network, advertorial as well as special event promotions.

 The successful candidate must possess:
  • A strong understanding of fashion, trends and the brands we stock with the ability to provide styling advice to customers.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Ability to motivate oneself and colleagues.
  • Experience of online marketing would be helpful.
  • Flexibility as the role will require you to work some weekends.


Menswear Sales Assistant with tailoring experience

We are currently looking for a menswear sales assistant with tailoring experience. Requirements for the role include:

  • At least one years experience within a fashion retail environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with clients.
  • A strong understanding of fashion, trends and the brands we stock with the ability to provide styling advice for customers.
  • Tailoring experience for our made to measure service is preferred although training can be provided for candidates with the right aptitude.
