Marc Jacobs
The Designer:A man that needs no introduction, Marc Jacobs graduated from the Parsons School of Design where he was the recipient of some of the school's highest honours. Jacobs launched his namesake line in 1986 and in the following year became the youngest ever designer to be awarded the fashion industry's highet tribute, the Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent.
In 2001 he debuted another critically acclaimed collection, Marc by Marc Jacobs, a collection of comparatively affordable edgy and retro mass-market pieces. His accompanying accessory lines — bags loaded with pockets or buckles, sweet pointed flats embellished with bows, and distressed boots - have captured the
world's attention and have been lauded as the must-have
pieces every season. The cult label is a favourite of style
icons including the likes of Sophia Coppola.
The Look:Pretty floral dresses, oversized bows
and buttons and sophisticated girly details such
as ruffles and puff sleeves.
