| The Designer: Born in London, Jean-Pierre Braganza moved to Canada as an infant, returning to study womenswear in London at Central Saint Martin's College. During his studies, he worked with Robert Cary-Williams where he learnt about the art of chaos and gained an enthusiasm for working with leather. After graduation he began working with Roland Mouret, where he honed his tailoring skills. His first full collection of both mens and womenswear was presented in February 2004 at London Fashion Week, and he has continued showing every season there since. The Look: Braganza's design philosophy is based on his obsession with the human form. He mixes intelligently cut patterns that skim the body with ornate and unexpected detailing, creating garments that are beyond trends. For Autumn Winter 08, his collection is titled 'Chromacolyte'. |
