The Designer: From his elegant floaty frocks to his beautifully crafted streamlined skirts, Philip Lim’s vision is a breath of fresh air. Hailing from Orange County, California,the American designer launched his label in 2004 to correlate with his 31st birthday, hence the name for his signature collection 3.1. The Inspiration: While the designer usually finds inspiration by “absorbing shapes colours and textures” from his surroundings, this season his muse is Amelia Earhart. Says Lim, "I wanted to make clothes that were ready for travel."
