Welcome to the START-LONDON.COM website terms and conditions. Please read through them carefully before placing your order. By using this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

Delivery

 

UK

 

For our UK customers, your order can be shipped using the Royal Mail Recorded delivery service at a cost of £5 shipping for your order.

Alternatively you can have same day courier delivery via the 'Shutl' service (within London only) to be calculated at the time of purchase.  Customers opting to use Shutl may incur additional charges for waiting and delivery, if someone is not present at the delivery address to recieve the order.

Or you can choose to collect from the Start-London store and incur no delivery charge.

 

 

Orders are dispatched following the successful processing of your bank and address details. This process which ensures your safety and ours against Credit Card fraud, can take up to 24hrs after you have placed your order, but we will send you an email immediately notifying you that your order has been shipped.

 

This ‘email’ will include a unique tracking link enabling you to view the location of your order online via the Royal Mail website (www.royalmail.com) Unfortunately we cannot provide a specific delivery time. We would also like to add that any orders placed on Friday or over the weekend will not be shipped until Monday.

 

Please note that Royal Mail requires a signature upon delivery for the receipt of your order. If no one is in at your given shipping address, they will leave a note with full details on how to arrange re-delivery, collection from your local Post Office or collection from your local Sorting Office.

 

Mainland Europe

 

For our mainland Europe customers, your order will be shipped by Interparcel, a global courier company. We charge £15 for shipping per order.

 

Orders are dispatched following the successful processing of your bank and address details. This process which ensures your safety and ours against Credit Card fraud, can take up to 24hrs after you have placed your order, but we will send you an email immediately notifying you that your order has been shipped.

 

This ‘email’ will include a unique tracking link enabling you to view the location of your order online at the Interparcel website, (www.interparcel.com). Unfortunately we cannot provide a specific delivery time and please do allow 3-4 working days for delivery.

 

Please note that UPS requires a signature upon delivery for the receipt of your order. If no one is in at your given shipping address, they will leave a note with full details on how to arrange re-delivery.

 

Rest of World (Americas & Caribbean, Oceania, Asia, Africa, Middle East)

 

For customers that live outside the UK & EU, for example, USA, your order will be shipped by Interparcel, a global courier company. We charge £25 for shipping per order.

 

Orders are dispatched following the successful processing of your bank and address details. This process which ensures your safety and ours against Credit Card fraud, can take up to 24hrs after you have placed your order, but we will send you an email immediately notifying you that your order has been shipped.

 

This ‘email’ will include a unique tracking link enabling you to view the location of your order online at the interparcel website (www.interparcel.com). Unfortunately we cannot provide a specific delivery time and please do allow between 3 -7 working days for delivery. Please bear in mind that delays beyond our control can occur in customs. Moreover, your order might incur additional charges depending on the duty and tax regulations of your country of residence.

 

Please note that interparcel employs couriers that require a signature upon delivery for the receipt of your order. If no one is in at your given shipping address, they will leave a note with full details on how to arrange re-delivery.

 

We would also like to add that we can not post items containing exotic skins to international destinations due to customs restrictions.

 

Unavailable Items

 

The display of any item on our website is not an offer to sell and Start shall be under no obligation to supply the products ordered through this website. If you place an order, this will be your offer to purchase the items from us. We will acknowledge your order as soon as possible but will be under no obligation to supply the products ordered unless we have the products in stock and they are available at the prices specified.

 

Payment Options

 

We accept American Express, Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Maestro, MasterCard and Solo.

 

All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the rate appropriate to the country of receipt, where within the EU, and are correct at the time of entering the information on to the system. The total cost of the order is the price of the products ordered plus the delivery charge.

 

Further information for overseas customers

 

The actual price charged to overseas customers will be subject to the exchange rate applied by the customer's credit or debit card company. Customers outside the United Kingdom will also be liable for any import duty, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. You are advised to check the latest applicable local requirements before placing an order.

 

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to, or does not for any reason, authorise payment then you will be notified of this immediately at the check-out stage.

 

In assessing your request for goods or services, we may use your information for the purposes of the prevention and detection of fraud. One of the purposes for which we may disclose your address and postcode details is to check against the IMRG Security Alert or any other Fraud Prevention Scheme.

 

Returns

 

We guarantee to refund any item purchased on Start-London.com that you are not completely happy with when you return it to us in a saleable condition within 14 days of receipt. Returns need to be posted back to us via a method of posting that can be tracked and the refund can not be processed until the item is received back to us in a re-saleable condition with all tags intact, unless the item is faulty.

 

Refunds will be credited to your original method of payment. In the interests of hygiene we do not offer refunds on pierced jewellery, hosiery, underwear or swimwear, unless they are of unsatisfactory quality or unfit for purpose. Please also note that items must be returned with all of the barcode tags intact.

 

In addition to our returns policy, under the Distance Selling Regulations EU customers have seven working days (beginning the day after receipt) to cancel your purchase (unless it is a purchase of financial services, food, drink or other perishable products; DVDs, CDs or software which have been unsealed; magazines; or tailor-made / customised products). In this case, we will provide a full refund but you must return the cancelled items to us. If we do not receive the cancelled items back, we may arrange to collect them from you at your cost.

 

For your convenience, customers in the UK can return unwanted online purchases to the London store. Please ensure that you take your despatch note with you as your proof of purchase. You will also require the card that was used to purchase the order online. If you are not the cardholder for the order, they will need to be present at the time of return to store to accept the refund back onto their credit/debit card.

If you purchase an item in the Sale you will not be offfered a refund for the item but an exchange or credit note to spend at Start online.
