| Anthony Peto The Designer: Chapelier, Anthony Peto, was born in London and led a varied life before turning to millinery; he set up a theatre group, edited an art magazine and dabbled in organising charity balls nightclub events and parties. In 1986, Peto moved to Paris where he teamed up with Marie Mercie to form what has become France’s premiere women’s hat company, before launching his own unisex line in 1992. Celebrity clients include Nicolas Cage, Yoko Ono and Milla Jovovich. The Look: A little on the eccentric side, Anthony Peto hats take traditional forms, blending them with modern fabric and colours. Shapes run the gamut and include trilbys, berets, top hats, bowler hats, aviators hats, fez’s, caps, the list is endless. |
